O.K. Very eventful week. We have been hitting the ground running this week. At the end of last week, I came to the conclusion that we were not going to be able to pull of an Easter egg hunt this year. It seems as if all the doors were closed. Then, on Friday evening, I received an e-mail saying that we have been approved to use a junior high school ball field in our community. My initial reaction was a mixture of “Yeah, God” and “Oh, well. Too Late.” I knew of a church that was able to pull off an egg hunt in two and a half weeks. But two weeks? No way. After seeking God, talking with members of the team, and seeking counsel from colleagues, I felt God still wanted us to do it; not to mention that the Children’s Team was still pumped. One of the Children’s Team members, Angela said, “Well, I knew that God was going to open the door.” The passage that has spoken to me during this time is Habbakuk 2:3-4 – 3 “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; For it will certainly come, it will not delay. 4 “Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith. A delay is not a denial. A delay is simply a delay. Though it may not seem as if God is moving, He is. We must wait patiently for God. It’s His vision. He will bring it to pass. When it finally comes, it moves quickly…like we are right now
Please pray that God would use this event to reach others and touch lives in our community.
With all that said, we present to you Eggsville.
