We had our first Expression for the year last night. I’ve got to admit.  When I was driving to Mayorga, I came to the conclusion that the only ones in attendance would be the Expression team and a few people who happened to be at the coffee house that night.  Boy, was I wrong.  We still had a packed house despite of the inclement weather.  I was reminded that Expression is for the community.  The purpose is to engage people who are already there. Most of the people who were there are from the community that we are seeking to reach.  They would rather walk or drive a few minutes to have a great time than stay home and be bored because of a few drops of ice.  If it was a Sunday morning, however, it would be ghost town.  You just have to know the culture of your community.
