Most of us desire to see our churches and ministries grow. I’m learning that in order to grow you will have to loose some people. From a natural perspective, it doesn’t make sense. Yet, it’s part of God’s pruning process. There are three major times when God begins to cut:
1) When He wants to remove branches that don’t bear fruit.
2) When He wants to move you from bearing no fruit to bearing fruit.
3) When He wants to move your from bearing fruit to bearing more fruit.
The amazing thing is pruning and cutting must take place on a regular basis! Do you have individuals that are leaving the church? Do you have friends that walk out of your life despite attempts to reconcile? Do you find that there are things you no longer have time for? Get used to it. It’s part of the process to make you more fruitful.
