Many of us have heard the news concerning Bishop Thomas Weeks III and Juanita Bynum. Apparently, they got into a fight in a parking lot in Atlanta, GA. Wow. I remembered when they got married a few years ago. The first reaction is to criticize and judge. “What happened? What went wrong? What did he do? What did she do? I thought they are supposed to be ministers of God! Yada, yada, yada.” I think it would be more beneficial to pray for them. My prayer is that God would work in their lives and bring restoration to their household. Only God knows what’s truly happening behind the scenes and in their hearts. The God who knows all can accomplish great and mighty things.
I think it’s more of a shock to the poeple more so. But let me ask you this; how do you figure it was a fight? From my understanding she was pushed down and stomped, now out of my 37yrs. in the world that’s not a fight. Mr. Weeks didn’t fall from grace he was never really apart of it, no matter how angery he got he should never put his feet on his Queen. Maybe she did say something that he did not like, but you don’t put your feet on any person for speaking there mind. More people should look @ the big picture!
I just happened to stumble across your blog and wanted to say how much I appreciate this post. All day I have seen different ‘Christian’ bloggers tear this couple up and down, and you are the first one who said ‘you know what? Lets just pray for them’. My thoughts exactly.
On a side note, I read over a few posts in your blog and just want to wish you luck in your church endeavor. I attend a multi-cultural church called Cornerstone Church in Toledo Ohio and I know what a wonderful environment and dynamic they provide. Blessings to you and your wife and your ministry!! I will most certainly be back to hear how things are going!
Hi Andrea:
I appreciate your comment. I’m not sure if it was a fight, in the sense of both of them hitting each other. However, according to some of the articles I’ve read, there was heated words shared between them which led me to using the term “fight.” Your right. No one can justify him hitting her, but as you said “more people should look at the big picture.” The reality is we don’t know the big picture. Therefore, we should pray for them instead of trying to figure out what we don’t know and can’t see.
They need realy need help from God now.We all need to pray for them, asking God to restore back the joy of their home.It might be hard, but it is posible with God.I love them and i want them back.
They need prayers now for restoration.I believe God for his mercy for their livies.
