I got a chance to hook up with my buddy, Ben Arment, today. We discussed fund raising strategies and other church planting stuff. I’m thankful that God is surrounding me with guys like him. He’s truly an encourager. Church planting is not easy, but it’s a rewarding journey. I think it’s so crucial to be surrounded with support when starting a new venture. The journey can be filled with loads of discouragement, even when things are going well. Sometimes the one or two bad things overshadow the hundred things that are going well. It takes the insight of other people to help your regain sight of what you’re overlooking or no longer seeing.
