If you’re like me, you’ve witnessed constant media coverage of the Virginia Tech University shooting. Some students have decided to go back home and take a much needed break. I don’t know any Virginia Tech students personally. If you do or know of any Virginia Tech students in your congregation, extend a hand of love and encouragement towards them. My heart and prayers go out to all the families that have lost loved ones in the shooting. Only God knows why this tragedy takes place. Sometimes we spend too much time trying to figure out why God allow such events. Some go as far as to give their “God-given” reasons for such tragedies. I’ve found we are most valuable when we show the love of Christ, even without knowing all the answers.
