A small group from our launch met at our home last night. It’s amazing how God moves when His people worship and honor Him in community. I shared some insights from Deuteronomy 1:21, “See, the LORD your God has placed the land before you; go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you. Do not fear or be dismayed.’” In the same way that God placed the Promised Land before the Israelites, God will place His will, opened doors, and opportunities before us. Those are moments for us to take the initiative and possess what He’s provided. In the midst of God’s faithfulness, fear and discouragment remains a reality. Yet, God charges us to not give into fear or discouragement. Church planting comes with discouraging moments. However, encouragement comes by remembering what God has said to us and recognize that His presence is always with us.
