Thursday, February 22, 2007 was our first launch team meeting for our new church, The Bridge. I received the opportunity to invite over 1,000 attendees from our supporting church (Zion Church in Largo, MD) the previous Sunday. In addition, I sent out invitations to over 100 persons on my e-mail distribution list. BRIDGE 1:12 – LAUNCH TEAM GATHERING THIS THURSDAY AT 7:30 P.M.!!!!!!!!!. Yet, at 7:30 pm only one person showed up. “Oh, no!” I thought. There I stood; a worried man. I anxiously looked out the glass door only to cast my eyes on a dark and empty parking lot. This is when I said, “Lord, if there are only three of us in the room, I will cast the vision you have given me with all that I have.” Within a few minutes, the crowd expanded from one to approximately 25. Every once in awhile, God places us in situations where we are forced to depend on him. Moments of uncertainty draws to trust in the only One who is certain.
